From Hearing to Speaking God's Truth
Week 27 guides you toward spiritual maturity by teaching you to worship authentically, listen to God's voice daily, remember His faithfulness, and become a vessel through which others hear the Gospel.
Recognizing God's power and expressing gratitude for His blessings.
"But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers."
Oh yes, Father, You are everywhere at the same time, and I enjoy calling on You in all the different places You carry me, knowing that as my heavenly Father and giver of gifts, I am secure in Your arms. I need fear no man or beasts or demons or even disease or physical challenges.
Learning to follow Jesus Christ and disciple others.
"Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground."
Born again, not by my power or even merit, but by the grace of God through Jesus Christ, and now each morning I am still so that You can reveal Yourself through Your word. Later, as I go through the day, I stop before making decisions to listen to Your still, small voice. I want to glorify You in all things and follow only Your path, LORD, God Almighty.
Surrendering to God's will and acknowledging His grace.
"Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness."
Here in this verse is Abraham, and the event is one of the times God spoke to him, promising that his descendants would become so numerous that they cannot be counted. At my salvation, when I believed Jesus died for me and rose again from the dead, taking on my sin, then I was saved by grace. I know I was forgiven and will reign with Him forever.
Being aware of God's presence and situations He presents for service.
"I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will meditate on all Your work And muse on Your deeds."
As we ponder the present situations God is leading us into, sometimes we need to just stop and remember all the glorious times in the past when His will has been done. This becomes a reminder of how He will continue to work as we present to Him each challenge and wait and watch.
Embracing God's call and caring for others.
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
There comes a time in each spiritual disciple's life when the scriptures take on new meaning. They were not just written for your benefit to reassure you or lead you, but so that you could use them to reassure others and lead them.
Living out God's commands and serving others wholeheartedly.
"Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way."
Reconciliation starts with us as we allow our heavenly Father to remove any sin nature that interferes with our desire to obey His commands.
Understanding the needs of others and sharing the hope of forgiveness.
"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."
The lost and the spiritual babes all need to hear You speak, Lord, so when You show me the words You would have me speak to them through the work of the Holy Spirit, I ask that they hear and believe.
