You speak, sing, declare, and proclaim who God is and His power.
"Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure.'"
I praise You, Father. You are the mighty one. I can place all my trust in You, for You are the truth and You have all the power and love to lead me and protect me. Amen.
Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and you are learning to follow Him and disciple others.
"For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you. Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?"
When I examine myself, I see many weaknesses and failures and times I didn't obey You, and yet as I continue in this life, I also see daily when You take over my thoughts, intents of heart, and actions that lead to obedience.
You are surrendered submitting to the will of God.
"The generous man will be prosperous, And he who waters will himself be watered."
To discipline others changes them forever, but it also changes our lives as the Holy Spirit refreshes us and helps us to be submissive to our heavenly Father.
Be aware of the situation that God is presenting for your service.
"Again He said to me, 'Prophesy over these bones and say to them, "O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord." Thus says the Lord God to these bones, 'Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life.'"
What awesome power our God has and freely shares with us! In this case, not dry bones, but to those who do not have His salvation.
God is calling and you have accepted His Call.
"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."
This is a description of who you are in Christ, and it rightly assumes that you have chosen to accept this transformation engineered by God through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit. This transformation has been slow and steady over the length of your salvation.
You are voluntarily following Christ in a ministry of reconciliation.
"He is on the path of life who heeds instruction, But he who ignores reproof goes astray."
Be warned: we must disciple and lead others to Christ, and be careful that our sin nature doesn't interfere with the ministry through Jesus Christ.
Recognizing the inner needs of others and looking for ways to serve them.
"But Jesus said, 'Let her alone; why do you bother her? She has done a good deed to Me.'"
If you are not familiar with the story told here of how a woman anointed the feet of Jesus with costly perfume, I suggest you read the whole account from Mark 14. The question is, "Are we doing what Jesus has appointed for us to do with the same loving heart that she showed Jesus?"
Now that you have completed Week 26, what did God show you?
Were you serious in your daily fellowship or did you just go through the motions so you could say you did the assignment?
Take a moment to reflect on the week and ask God to help you grow in your faith.
